THERE WILL NOT BE AN ANGEL TV MOVIE NEXT YEAR
No, really, there won't. There are, currently, no plans for any more Angel anything after tomorrow night. The WB has no plans to make a TV movie. No studio has offered to make a feature film. Joss' plans for the next year are Serenity and Astonishing X-Men. Not Angel.

It's. Over.

Pass it on.

Nonsense. I heard it from my cousin who knows a guy who watched them taking out the trash from across the street that there are at least 3 TV movies planned, as well as a multi-season pickup for Firefly. And all the major networks are in a bidding war for Wonderfalls, and just planting stories that they aren't to keep the price down.

They just won't tell us any of this because of the conspiracy.

I knew it! The Man is always trying to keep us genre fans down.

Oh dear. Now I have to report you two. This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you.

You know what? I'm glad. Let it go. Let Joss move on.

I'm at a loss about what I'll watch on TV next year, though.

I want for Joss to move on as well. He'll do other projects (yeah Serenity and the new X Men films) and hopefully he'll come back to tv with something new and exciting.

I just think that the BtVS and AtS worlds are completed in his mind and I'm fine with that concept.

No Angel Movies.
Well, I hope sometime down the road Whedon re-opens the Buffyverse for another spin-off.

At least we get full season of "reality celebrity dog swap", it's not like quality tv is dying out or anything.

what to watch
here's the thing. Angel is not on until 11.30pm in Australia. Celebrity Uncensored is on before it.
Before CU was on we had average Joe.
so it really has gone down hill.
At the moment there is a comedy show on, big brother uncut, and I wasn't brave enough to check channel 7. what I am trying to say is that there is NOTHING to watch. the ads aren't even interesting.
Angel is- sob- was a show that had acting, characters, character development, story lines etc. things I used to take for granted. Now all that is on are Law and ORder variations, DIY shows, soaps, CSI variations (which ok I watch) and Rove- a talk show kind along the lines of Letterman but Australian.
Americans are saying there is nothing on. Atleast you guys have channels that just show repeats. we don't even have that.
I am utterly miserable about this situation.
My apologies for posting just to rant. I love this page. I cried about Wesley.
So thankyou Persephonemoon. you are doing a lot more for me than the TV executives.

How do you know this stuff
I don't want to believe you, but I almost have to you knew the whole show. How do you know for sure there will be no movies. Please let me know to ease my mind

Re: How do you know this stuff
Not persephonemoon, obviously, but for one thing, Joss has stated in published interviews (check TV Guide for the latest) that although the WB made noises like they were persuing that option, since the cancelation, there's been bupkes about it. For another thing, Boreanaz has said that he's not interested in doing any sort of reunion thingie, and only considerably upped stakes (read: feature film--cinema, not TV) would have the potential to tempt him back.
